Supplementation of picrorhiza (200mg of the shade dried rhizomes twice daily) for three month periods interchanged with one month placebo interventions and taken alongside methoxsalen photochemotherapy was able to cause a reduction in symptoms of vitiligo. 10% of subjects failed to respond to treatment whereas 27% of the subjects experienced complete resolution of symptoms.
