Daily L-leucine Supplementation In Novice Trainees During A 12-week Weight Training Program

4g (based on 50mg/kg) leucine daily to untrained men participating in a resistance training protocol was able to enhance the increase in power output from 31.0% to 40.8% without affecting the rate of lean mass or fat mass changes. Diet was not controlled in this study, but protein reported to be 0.88-0.90g/kg and no significant differences between groups.
