When CLA (80% c9t11, 20% t10,c12) comprised 7% of their 2600kcal (average, but individualized) diet (using oleic acid as control, 20g CLA daily) for 21 days in a cross-over design found no differences in measured inflammatory parameters compared to oleic acid (TNF-RI, TNF-RII, MCP-1, IL-6, CRP) but found a significant (170%) increase in urinary 8-iso-PGF2α, a prostaglandin.
