In a trial seeing how curcumin (700mg, thrice a day) stood up against standard therapy against Helibactor Pylori (bacteria that causes stomach ulcers), curcumin was ineffective in relieving the infection relative to the standard drugs although may have suppressed proliferation.

Anti-inflammatory effects of curcumin on H.Pylori were not found.
