Notes for this study:
A very large (40% or so) increase in serum nitric oxide and catalase was noted with curcumin ingestion at 80mg of a lipidated formulation (via 400mg turmeric root) daily for four weeks in otherwise healthy middle aged persons, although the enzyme SOD nor glutathione. Triglycerides and sICAM were slightly reduced and myeloperoxidase slightly increased.
