8oz of POMx pomegranate juice (570mg polyphenolic GAEs) was able to reduce prostate specific antigen doubling time, and showed efficacy in reducing the risk for prostate cancer.

Increases of Nitric Oxide (NO) metabolites were seen by 23% on average, but highly heterogenous with 2/3rds experiencing an increase and the higher increases relative to baseline being associated with higher baseline PSA levels.

No effects on measured hormones.
