Application of 2% phylloquinone epoxide to persons undergoing laser therapy (due to bilateral facial telangiectasia) was effective in reducing reddening of the skin over 10 days or so. The study was a double blind and split face study.

Although the group given both 1% phylloquinone and 0.3% retinoic acid noted benefit, the groups given 1-5% phylloquinone in isolation failed to find a significant benefit from treatment of laser-induced purpura (pea sized amount of cream added twice daily for 2 weeks).
