Notes for this study:
In this 49-week randomized controlled trial 41 people with mild Alzheimer's disease were randomly assigned to daily supplementation with 1,100 mg of Lion's Mane mycelia (containing 15 mg of erinacine A) or a placebo. Out of 4 tests of cognitive function (MMSE, CASI, NPI, and IADL) , only one (AIDL; an assessment of participants’ ability to perform daily tasks) was improved in the Lion’s mane group compared with the placebo group.
