Marijuana's Dose-dependent Effects In Daily Marijuana Smokers
Effect | None |
Trial Design | Double blind |
Trial Length | 1-6 months |
Number of Subjects | 19 |
Sex | Both Genders |
Age Range | 18-29 |
Inhalation of cannabis (800mg of 5.5% or 6.2% THC) in a placebo controlled study every other day for 3-6 weeks in regular cannabis users, assessing a variety of puff counts to assess dose-dependent effects, noted that subjective highs and stimulation were not dose-related although craving for cannabis was reduced with more puffs.
Relative to placebo there were reductions in psychomotor performance (DSST) and immediate but not delayed recall (DRT), with other cognitive parameters not affected.
