Cannabis For Dyskinesia In Parkinson Disease: A Randomized Double-blind Crossover Study

Effect None
Trial Design Uncontrolled / observational study
Trial Length 2-4 Weeks
Number of Subjects 19
Sex Both Genders
Notes for this study:
In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study, 19 participants with Parkinson's disease and levodopa-induced dyskinesia took cannabis extracts with 1.25 mg of THC and CBD per capsule or placebo for 4 weeks each. For the 4 weeks prior, participants increased their doses of cannabis extract until they had found their optimal dose.

The primary outcome was the severity and duration of dyskinesia, and there wasn't a statistically significant effect, as well as for other symptoms and measures.
