Cardiovascular Effects Of Prolonged Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol Ingestion
Notes for this study:
|Number of Subjects
Chronic administration of THC ingestion in hospitalized volunteers was associated with a reduction in heart rate after the initial increase observed with THC, and a reduction in blood pressure was also noted.
Orthostatic hypotension was also noted acutely, but subjects became tolerant to this effect of THC even when the peripheral hypotension was still present. Tolerance was associated with an increase in total body water and weight.
