Notes for this study:
In this study, 24 participants received either 10 mg of cannabis extract (9.5 mg THC and 0.5 CBD) or placebo, twice daily for six months. If the participants had adverse reactions to the cannabis, their dose was dropped to 5 mg of extract, twice daily.

The primary outcome was body weight, and secondary outcomes were blood markers of metabolic, renal, and liver function and inflammation.

This study had considerable dropout. The entire control group dropped out, and only six of the cannabis group completed the study.
