A very large (40% or so) increase in serum nitric oxide and catalase was noted with curcumin ingestion at 80mg of a lipidated formulation (via 400mg turmeric root) daily for four weeks in otherwise healthy middle aged persons, although the enzyme SOD nor glutathione.
