Notes for this study:
A study that used three forms of coffee (decaffeinated, caffeinated, and decaffeinated with higher levels of chlorogenic acid) found that although caffeine was the main factor in increasing cognition after coffee ingestion, that chlorogenic acid in the enhanced coffee (521mg) relative to normal decaf (224mg) was associated with improved mood

Subjects were non-habitual coffee drinkers (<8 cups a week) although the age range was 53-79, cognitively well.
