Notes for this study:
In a randomized, triple-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 118 women with premenstrual cramps were allocated to take 88.5 mg of sodium tetraborate containing 10 mg of elemental boron or placebo daily for 2 menstrual cycles.

Pain severity and duration were both notably reduced in the participants who took boron compared with the placebo, which were statistically significant during both mentstrual cycles.
