Over 23 weeks, bringing protein intake up from 12% of the diet to 23% was able to reduce fat mass by 2.8kg. This was seen with whey protein, but soy protein merely prevented an increase in weight seen with glucose supplementation; calories controlled and subjects were healthy but overweight or obese.
