Trial Design Cohort
Trial Length 6+ Months

Age Range 18-29, 30-44, 45-64
Notes for this study:
In a comparative study between saw palmetto (320mg daily) and finasteride (1mg daily) over the course of 24 months, it was found that while both groups reported an increase in hair growth only 38% of the saw palmetto group found significant growth as compared to 66% of the finasteride group.

Saw palmetto also did not appear to work to a large degree in the frontal region of the head, instead improving growth on the crown of the head; finasteride appeared to benefit both areas of the head.
