In this randomized, uncontrolled trial, 25 participants with pulmonary hypertension were given 3 g of citrulline malate daily for 2 weeks.
The primary outcome was the change in exercise capacity, and there was a statistically significant improvement in 6 minute walking distance. There was also an improvement in pulmonary arterial pressure, and quality of life.
