L-Citrulline Increases Nitric Oxide And Improves Control In Obese Asthmatics

In an open-label, uncontrolled pilot trial, 44 participants with asthma and obesity took 15 g of l-citrulline for 2 weeks.
FeNO improved statistically significantly and score on the Asthma Control Questionnaire improved insignificantly. There was a non-significant increase in FEV1, which was only in females, and late-onset asthma for both sexes. There was also a statistically significant improvement in forced vital capacity overall.
