In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 81 participants who were resistance-trained took 2 g of citrulline malate, 2 g citrulline with 200 mg of glutathione, or placebo for 8 weeks while participating in resistance training.Funding issues for this study:
There wasn't a notable or statistically significant difference between the citrulline or placebo group for body mass, lean mass, fat mass, total body water, or bench/leg press strength. Blood panel also wasn't notably different. The citrulline glutathione group performed better in various respects, but we can't tell if it was due to synergy or just the effects of glutathione.
