Notes for this study:
30 days of supplementation with Krill oil appears to significantly reduce symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (20.3-28.9% symptoms reduction as assessed by WOMAC and 31.6% less rescue medication usage) and significantly reduces C-Reactive Protein concentrations in a time-dependent manner (30.9% reduction on day 30).

Metabolic Effects Of Krill Oil Are Essentially Similar To Those Of Fish Oil But At Lower Dose Of EPA And DHA, In Healthy Volunteers

This study noted comparable effects of krill oil (3,000mg, 543mg EPA+DHA) and fish oil (1,800mg, 864mg EPA+DHA) on serum biomarkers of lipid metabolism and oxidation over 7 weeks in otherwise healthy volunteers of both genders. Despite minimal changes in lipid parameters (most trending towards significance) there was a significant improvement in the HDL-C;Triglyceride ratio

Lipid peroxidation measures may be somewhat skewed as there was a Vitamin E content of the supplement, but no serum increase in Vitamin E was detected. A trend towards lower serum Vitamin E was noted.
