Oral intake of 75g blueberries (1.29% anthocyanins) alongside a test meal was able to reduce lipoprotein oxidation and increase serum antioxidant capacities, although in these otherwise healthy persons glucose was not affected.

Plasma urate and vitamin C were both increased in this study.
