Blueberries Decrease Cardiovascular Risk Factors In Obese Men And Women With Metabolic Syndrome

50g berries daily (1624mg phenolics and 742mg anthocyanins) for eight weeks in obese persons at risk for cardiovascular disease noted reductions in blood pressure (6% systolic and 4% diastolic) and reduce LDL oxidation (27%) while improving the antioxidant status of the blood, but no other changes were noted.
Study was single blinded.
