14 patients , eight males and six females, were treated with Silymarin 210 mg/day orally . The baseline lesion counts decreased from
19.57+7.68 to 9.14+4.75 after eight weeks of supplementation. The Silymarin group saw a 53% reduction in total lesion counts and this outcome was statistically significant P ≤ 0.05.
