Examine Hiring: Engineering Manager

Who we are:

Since 2011, we’ve been on a mission to analyze and summarize the latest scientific research to help you be healthier. And it’s a mission we take very seriously! We stay laser-focused on improving people’s lives, being transparent, and balancing free vs. paid content. Examine is wholly independent and prides itself in having no external sources of funding. Our guiding principles are accuracy and objectivity. And with the successful launch of Examine 2.0 recently completed, we’re excited to expand in multiple areas, including a YouTube channel and podcast, advertising, marketing, business development, and more.

What it’s like to work at Examine:

Does joining a team of easygoing and curious nutrition nerds sound like fun? Would you enjoy working for a virtual and global company? How about job perks like a company trip to Mexico, a 4-day work week, unlimited vacation days, and profit sharing? We set out to build a company we would enjoy working at — one that allows us to be challenged, grow our skillset, and enjoy our work, not be crushed with relentless work hours and a constant “case of the Mondays.”

Our core employee values include transparency — we always explain our decisions and your feedback is encouraged in all facets of the company. We encourage collaborative effort, autonomy, and kindness. We do not micromanage, count hours, or do anything invasive — we treat you like an adult.

You’re welcome to review our Employee Handbook and how it applies to our team members and see for yourself how Examine is so much more than “just another job.”

We’re also happy to make team members available for you to talk to. Consider them our references.
