The pooled odds ratio for the highest quintile of serum Vitamin D (37ng/mL) was 0.47 (95% CI of 0.35-0.68) for colorectal cancer risk, suggesting that Vitamin D exerts a notable reduction in the risk of colorectal cancer.
The reduction in risk appeared to be dose-dependent up until 37ng/mL, with higher serum levels not assessed.
